Performance Test Engineer / Performance Engineer (No H1B Please)

Location: Charlotte, NC (3 days office)

Employment Type: Contract

Work Authorization: OPT, EAD, GC, Citizens Only, No H1B please.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer to design, execute, and analyze performance tests for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern performance engineering tools, microservices architectures, and strong troubleshooting skills across application and database layers.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute performance tests using LoadRunner and Apache JMeter.
Analyze application logs and metrics using Splunk and Splunk Observability Cloud.
Identify performance bottlenecks across application, infrastructure, and database layers.
Conduct Chaos Engineering experiments to validate system resilience and reliability.
Work with development teams to optimize performance of Java and .NET applications.
Perform performance validation for microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.
Conduct database performance analysis and tuning (queries, indexing, resource utilization).
Provide performance reports, recommendations, and capacity planning insights.

Required Skills

Hands-on experience with LoadRunner and JMeter.
Strong knowledge of Splunk and Splunk Observability tools.
Experience with Java and .NET based applications.
Experience testing microservices architectures and APIs.
Strong performance analysis and database tuning experience.
Knowledge of Chaos Engineering concepts and tools.
Exposure to cloud-native environments and Kubernetes/OpenShift.

Nice to Have

Experience with Pega Platform applications.
