Role summary

A Senior Software Engineer B3 is sought to design, develop, and maintain software solutions with a focus on SQL Server, C#, and Angular JS. This role requires expertise in Azure and .NET Framework to optimize software architecture and enhance application performance. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting thorough testing, optimizing database performance, and participating in code reviews. As a Sr. Software Engineer B3 you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that drive business success. With a focus on SQL Server, C#, and Angular JS you will contribute to innovative projects that enhance our technological capabilities. Your expertise in Azure and .Net Framework will be crucial in optimizing our software architecture.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using SQL Server, C#, and Angular JS to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable software architectures that leverage Azure and .Net Framework.
  • Provide technical expertise in JavaScript to enhance user interface and improve application performance.
  • Ensure software solutions are robust, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Optimize database performance and manage data integrity using SQL Server.
  • Implement software enhancements and updates to improve functionality and user experience.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and incorporate them into software development practices.
  • Work in a hybrid model balancing remote and in-office work to maximize productivity and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development of software solutions in the Life and Annuities Insurance domain if applicable.
  • Utilize domain knowledge to tailor software solutions to specific industry needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all software development activities.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate proficiency in SQL Server, C#, and Angular JS with a minimum of 13 years of experience.
  • Possess strong skills in Azure and .Net Framework to optimize software architecture.
  • Have expertise in JavaScript to enhance application performance and user interface.
  • Experience in Life and Annuities Insurance domain is a plus, providing valuable insights into industry-specific software solutions.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $81K – $141K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
