Role summary

CTP, Inc. is seeking a Senior AWS Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure for enterprise applications. This role involves developing infrastructure-as-code, managing CI/CD pipelines, implementing monitoring and logging, ensuring security and compliance, and optimizing cloud costs. The position requires 8+ years of IT or cloud engineering experience with strong AWS knowledge, including EC2, VPC, RDS, and Lambda, and experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Preferred qualifications include AWS certifications, containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevSecOps practices. Travel to the Caribbean region may be required.

CTP is a privately held small business based in Herndon, VA. We provide program management services for government and private clients and deliver technical assistance programs in over 80 countries around the world. CTP provides specific solutions or full lifecycle support, including course and curriculum design, expert instruction, logistics support, monitoring & evaluations, knowledge management, strategic planning, program management, and staffing services.

Responsibilities:

Position Summary: CTP, Inc is seeking Senior AWS Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure environments supporting enterprise applications and large-scale systems.

Travel to the Caribbean region will likely be required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and implement AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code and automation solutions
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and performance optimization
  • Ensure cloud environments meet security and compliance requirements
  • Optimize cloud cost and performance
  • Support cloud-native application deployments
  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • 8+ years of IT or cloud engineering experience
  • Strong AWS experience (EC2, VPC, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
  • Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with monitoring tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certifications
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience supporting secure or regulated environments
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices

Compensation
