The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $130,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards program will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role. Reporting to the Director of Finance (FP&A) the
Senior Finance Manager
will act as a key finance partner to support for a key business unit within Compass Group Canada.
This role will oversee the weekly flash, monthly reporting/analysis, and support the budgeting and forecasting process. This role will also be critical in helping the sector achieve its financial targets and will provide financial insights to support senior leaders in strategic decision-making, including contract renewals and negotiations. The role will have visibility to senior leaders within the sector and across functions.
Now, If You Were To Come On Board As One Of Our Senior Finance Manager, We’d Ask You To Do The Following For Us

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process and help build presentations for senior leadership
  • Prepare the weekly flash report, highlighting updated variance analysis vs targets
  • Support the business leaders with various analysis that is required on an ad-hoc basis
  • Build monthly reports to analyze the performance by units and own period end reporting deliverables/presentations
  • Keep track of risks and opportunities and work with teams to identify mitigation plans for the risks
  • Lead the development and/or review of financial proformas, including assumptions, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis, to support contract renewals, rebids, and sector strategy
  • Keep track of Capital requests (CAR) vs budgets, and coordinate CAR’s for approval
  • Take on and lead project work that arises from time to time and maintain project plans to ensure positive outcomes

  • In depth experience analyzing sales and margins and determining root causes of problems based on understanding the process, systems and the business
  • Ability to build presentations and tailor communication depending on the audience and circumstance
  • Committed to continuous learning and providing and receiving candid feedback
  • Good attitude and willing to build relationships across the sector, business and functions
  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience with at least 4 years of FP&A experience
  • CPA or equivalent qualification
  • Working knowledge of JDE ERP or other large ERP and reporting tools
  • Food industry background is an added advantage
  • Highly advanced excel and numerical skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience leading or supporting complex projects such as streamlining inefficient processes, system implementations, margin expansion projects, RFP’s etc
  • Proven ability to build, validate, and present financial proformas end-to-end
