Position Overview

CLRC is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically minded Data Analyst to support high-impact research and consulting projects for external clients in the construction industry. This role offers hands-on experience working with complex datasets—including compensation, survey, and government data—and translating analyses into clear, actionable insights for clients and industry leaders.

The Data Analyst will work on a wide range of projects, collaborate directly with external clients, and contribute to both research deliverables and internal operational needs within a small, professional organization.

Key Responsibilities

· Analyze complex datasets related to employee compensation, material costs, and large government data sources to support client research and decision-making.

· Prepare clear, client-ready reports and presentations that summarize analytical findings using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

· Collect and compile data from surveys, government databases (including the U.S. Census Bureau and Bureau of Labor Statistics), websites, and other authoritative sources.

· Enter, clean, and quality-check data to identify errors, inconsistencies, and outliers.

· Communicate with external clients to clarify project needs, discuss results, and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.

· Contribute to the ongoing improvement of CLRC products and services by identifying opportunities to enhance data quality, analytical methods, and usefulness to clients.

· Provide analytical and operational support to the Executive Director and assist with general organizational activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to work with quantitative data.

· Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail, particularly when working with data.

· Strong business writing skills, with the ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences.

· Customer-focused mindset and comfort interacting with external clients.

· Curiosity and willingness to learn new subject matter, tools, and analytical approaches.

· Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Professional Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

*Education*

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, data analytics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field with a strong quantitative focus.

*Experience*

· 1–5 years of professional experience performing data analytics or related quantitative work.

Work Environment and Travel

· Private, fully furnished office (not a cubicle).

· Business-casual, professional work environment.

· Pet-friendly office, subject to acceptable behavior.

· Occasional travel (approximately 2–5 trips per year) to professional conferences.

Compensation and Benefits

*Compensation*

· Base salary range of $60,000–$85,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

· Performance bonuses and annual salary increases available based on individual performance and company financial status.

· Retirement: Annual employer contribution equal to 8% of salary.

· Health Insurance: 100% employer-paid health insurance premiums, including vision and dental coverage.

· Health Savings Account (HSA): Employer contribution equal to the plan deductible.

· Vacation: 20 vacation days during the first year of employment.

*Education Support*

· After one year of satisfactory employment, CLRC may cover the cost of a master’s degree in an approved field, subject to acceptable employee performance and organizational needs.
