Role summary

Core One is seeking an expert Geospatial Data Scientist to develop analytical, operational, and technical solutions for complex national security challenges. This role requires demonstrated mastery of geospatial scientific principles, tools, and analytical techniques, alongside proficiency in data science methods such as logistic regression, NLP, deep learning, and image recognition. Expertise in tabular analysis, SQL, and scripting languages like Python, R, or Julia is essential. Familiarity with Agile frameworks is preferred. A current TS/SCI clearance with SSBI is mandatory. Desired qualifications include experience with IT/business metrics platforms, AWS AI/ML certification, and knowledge of NSG TCPED production chain and DoD/IC GEOINT environments.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated mastery and employment of geographic and geospatial scientific principles, tools, and analytical techniques, to be reflected throughout most of the relevant prior experience.

Demonstrated experience and proficiency with data science techniques including (but not limited to) logistic regression, vector, natural language processing, principal component analysis, clustering techniques, neural networks, deep learning models, image recognition and algorithm employment or development in support of any of the foregoing.

Demonstrated experience and proficiency with tabular analysis, SQL, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, Julia, etc.) to deliver unique insights otherwise unobtainable.

Familiarity with agile software development project management frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.) to deliver new capability.

Demonstrated experience and proficiency with tabular analysis, SQL, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, Julia, etc.) to deliver unique insights otherwise unobtainable.

Current, active TS/SCI security clearance with Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working with IT, business, or operational metrics platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, Confluence, etc.)

Certification in AWS (AI/ML specialty).

Knowledge of the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination (TCPED) production chain.

Experience working within a DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) operational environment and with DoD/IC geospatial data repositories.

Familiarity with Army, DoD or IC GEOINT or Geospatial processes, policy and programs.

Experience with Microsoft Office tools to deliver reports, graphics and briefings.
