This role focuses on expanding Marimo's user base and community through scalable growth strategies, including software engineering and content creation. About Marimo:
At Marimo, we're building the best open-source environment for working with data, alongside a world-class cloud platform designed for scale, performance, and collaboration.
Marimo reimagines the Python notebook from first principles. It combines the interactivity of a next-generation reactive notebook with the flexibility of pure Python: notebooks can be versioned with Git, deployed as data applications, executed as scripts, and imported as reusable modules. Originally incubated with scientists at Stanford, marimo is now used by leading companies, research labs, and universities worldwide, with millions of downloads and more than 17,000 GitHub stars.
We believe that the tools we use shape the way we think. Better tools lead to better ideas, faster iteration, and deeper understanding. If you're passionate about developer tools, thrive in ambiguous environments, enjoy tackling challenging engineering problems, and are excited by greenfield opportunities, you'll fit right in.
About the Team:
The Marimo growth team is responsible for managing and growing the marimo community, playing a critical role in our goal of making marimo the standard Python used by millions of developers around the world. The Marimo community is diverse, including AI/ML developers, backend developers, security engineers, data engineers, data scientists, natural scientists, professors, students, and more. The growth team's mandate is to build scalable bottoms-up growth motions across these subcommunities, helping them transform their workflows with our next-generation notebook and bringing back feedback to the engineering team. You will be given high autonomy, and will be trusted to make a large impact.
