
Software Engineer (Cyber Capability Development)
Role summary
Cornerstone Defense is seeking a Software Engineer to support applied cyber research efforts. The role involves designing, developing, and prototyping hardware-integrated and software-based capabilities with real-world mission impact. The engineer will translate cyber concepts into functional system components using industry-standard tools and methodologies. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, along with seven years of relevant software engineering experience. Proficiency in JAVA, Linux/bash, and dependency tools like Gradle, Spring, Docker, and Git is essential. An active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is mandatory for application.

Position Description:
The Software Engineer will support applied cyber research efforts by designing, developing, and prototyping hardware-integrated and software-based capabilities that demonstrate real-world mission impact. The engineer will translate emerging applied cyber concepts into functional system components by creating detailed design specifications and implementing them using industry-standard development tools and methodologies.
Qualifications:
Seven (7) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
