Executive Assistant
for our Client in the
metro Detroit area
.
- Our Client is a Detroit based private foundation
that partners with organizations committed to creating opportunities for the underserved.
- These partners include hospitals, community centers, and other nonprofits, all associated with either Health, Youth & Family or Animal Welfare.
- Our Client seeks a highly capable, polished, and detail-oriented
Executive Assistant
to
support the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors
, and ensure the efficient operation of a small, mission-driven office.
- This role combines executive-level administrative support, board-facing responsibilities, and day-to-day office management in a collaborative environment.
- Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
- The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, discretion, and organizational excellence, along with a service-oriented mindset and the ability to operate seamlessly in a semi-remote structure.

- Position is Semi-Remote
; therefore, you
must be in the Detroit, MI office three days (T, W, Th)
per week.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Provide high-level administrative
support to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors
, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare briefing materials, correspondence, and presentations.
- Serve as a gatekeeper and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate all Board-related activities including meeting logistics, scheduling, and communications.
- Prepare and distribute Board materials, reports, and minutes with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all Board interactions.
- Oversee daily office operations.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 5+ years of experience in an Executive Assistant or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives and interacting with Boards of Directors.
- Experience preparing Board materials, reports, and meeting documentation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND:
- Experience in a foundation, nonprofit, or philanthropic environment.
- Familiarity with Blackbaud or similar donor/grants management systems.
- Experience supporting grantmaking processes or program evaluation.
ADDED SKILLS & ABILITIES::
- Position is Semi-Remote; therefore, must be in the Detroit, MI office three days (T,W, & Th) per week.
- Lives within a commutable distance from the Detroit, MI office or is willing to relocate (at your own expense).
