Role summary
A senior-level Public Safety Monitoring Automation Engineer is sought for a long-term contract role in the New York City Metro area. This position is crucial for automating and maintaining a large-scale 911 public safety infrastructure, ensuring secure, compliant, and uninterrupted operations for NYPD, FDNY, and EMS. The engineer will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for BMC TrueSight Server Automation (BladeLogic), BMC Client Management, and BMC Discovery, focusing on patching, automation, compliance, and vulnerability remediation across Windows and Linux systems. Responsibilities include managing BMC environments, deploying enterprise-wide server patching, automating discovery for over 2,000 nodes, standardizing OS deployments, establishing compliance baselines, and integrating assets with BMC Remedy CMDB. Partnership with Security teams for vulnerability remediation is also key.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain
BMC TrueSight Server Automation (BladeLogic)
and
BMC Discovery (ADDM)
environments
- Plan, schedule, deploy, and report enterprise‑wide
server and endpoint patching
- Coordinate
critical call‑taker workstation patching
without operational impact
- Support
Public Safety 911 enterprise monitoring infrastructure
- Automate discovery and configuration of
2,000+ nodes
- Standardize OS deployments and bare‑metal provisioning
- Establish configuration baselines, governance, and compliance
- Partner with Security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and respond to
zero‑day threats
- Integrate discovered assets with
BMC Remedy CMDB
