Role summary

Crane is seeking an experienced Integration Platform Engineer to manage and optimize their Boomi platform, ensuring high availability and efficient integration releases. This role involves designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions, managing containerized deployments with Kubernetes, and configuring secure file transfer protocols. The engineer will also be responsible for Linux system administration, shell scripting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet security and compliance standards. A strong understanding of monitoring concepts and experience in the supply chain or logistics domain are highly valued. This is an onsite, full-time position requiring 10-12 years of relevant experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Own and manage the Boomi platform, including Atom/Molecule/Cloud configuration, clustering, and tuning.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize Boomi runtimes, connector issues, and property file deployments.
  • Ensure high availability across environments through automated monitoring and recovery.
  • Design and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for integration releases using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Implement Git-based workflows to manage deployment artifacts, configurations, and rollback strategies.
  • Configure, secure, and monitor Managed File Transfer (MFT) jobs with external partners (AS2, SFTP, FTPS).
  • Collaborate with Dev, Ops, and InfoSec teams to meet enterprise compliance and security standards.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, knowledge base articles, and platform documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Job will require regular and punctual attendance as well as presence on-site at the assigned work location as needed for meetings and events.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Proven expertise in Boomi administration—Molecule setup, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux systems, networking basics, and shell scripting.
  • Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments (e.g., Docker, Helm).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and concepts like observability, SLI/SLOs, and automated recovery.
  • Highly Preferred: Experience in the supply chain, logistics, or transportation domain.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Master’s degree preferred but not required.
  • 10-12 Years of experience in integration/platform engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

Professional certification may be required in some areas.
