Role summary
Credit One Bank is seeking a UX Designer to join their Design Systems team. This individual contributor role focuses on designing, maintaining, and evolving the company's design system to ensure consistent, accessible, and high-quality user experiences. ### Position Summary
Credit One Bank is seeking a UX Designer focused on Design Systems. In this role, you will work under a Design Systems Lead to help design, maintain, and evolve our design system, enabling product teams to build consistent, accessible, and high-quality experiences across the platform.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on component design, system maintenance, and cross-functional collaboration. You will contribute directly to the system while supporting its adoption and effective use across design and engineering teams.
### Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Design and refine UI components, patterns, and foundations (color, typography, spacing, layout)
- Translate product and platform needs into scalable, reusable system solutions
- Partner closely with engineering to ensure components are feasible, well-documented, and production-ready
- Support product designers by helping them use the system effectively and consistently
- Create and maintain well-structured Figma libraries, clear documentation, usage guidelines, and examples in Figma and supporting tools (Storybook)
- Ensure design system components meet WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from the Design Systems Lead
- Help identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement within the system
- Evaluate tools, plugins, and workflow improvements that help scale the system and streamline collaboration across design and engineering.

- Experience auditing products for design system adoption and consistency.
- Comfort presenting system updates, facilitating discussions, and supporting design system adoption across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple design tasks and priorities with guidance from a Lead
- Willingness to ask questions and seek clarity when requirements are unclear
### Position Requirements
- 3+ years of product design experience, with experience contributing to or working within a design system
- Expert proficiency in Figma, including component architecture, variants, variables, and library management.
- Strong visual, interaction, and UI design skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to think in terms of patterns, scalability, and reuse
- Comfort collaborating closely with engineers and incorporating technical constraints
- Clear communication skills and openness to feedback
