Role summary

Integra is seeking an Engineering Manager for Electrical Design to lead the development and management of electrical infrastructure for complex data centers in Dallas, TX. This role involves coordinating the design and commissioning processes, interpreting design concepts, performing calculations, and revising designs based on client needs. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical systems (UPS, PDU, Generator, Switchgear), design software (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD MEP), project management tools (Procore), and a strong understanding of mission-critical data center electrical distribution systems. A PE certification is required, with CEM and LEED certifications being a plus. This is a hybrid role requiring 6+ years of experience in design, project planning, construction, and commissioning.

The Opportunity
The Engineering Manager - Electrical Design will develop and manage the design of electrical infrastructure and related systems for complex data centers. The incumbent will coordinate and support the commissioning process. Specific responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the ability to work with limited supervision in corporate, remote, and home offices, as well as project site locations. The Engineer must be a flexible and adaptable team-player who possess and demonstrates effective communication and broad client service skills. As experience is further developed in the overall design and construction of data centers, the Engineer’s skills will be further utilized as a Subject Matter Expert across the organization.
What you will do?

  • Understand mission critical construction industry protocols and troubleshooting support
  • Confer with engineers and design staff to interpret design concepts
  • Review all applicable documentation to determine designs
  • Perform calculations in preparation for designing products
  • Review documents, quotes, and drawings to create electrical designs
  • Revise drawings and designs based on change orders and client needs/requests
  • Prepare product reports by collecting and analyzing information
  • Provide electrical engineering information by answering questions and requests
  • Evaluate systems, products, components, and applications
  • Develop products by studying customer requirements
  • Create conceptual designs from information gathered at client meetings
  • Oversee Commissioning Process, as needed

Required Qualifications

  • CEM, LEED certification is a plus
  • Design documentation experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products
  • Experience with Electrical Systems (UPS, PDU, Generator, Switchgear)
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD MEP, Procore
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, emphasis in electrical data center distribution systems
  • Possess an understanding of drawing and modeling organization
  • Knowledge of electrical process and building for mission critical/data center projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Architectural Engineering; Master’s preferred
  • PE certification required
  • 6+ years in design, project planning, construction and commissioning
