
Geoscience Data Analyst | Remote
Role summary
This is a remote, hourly contract position for a Geoscientist. The role involves analyzing and interpreting geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to support AI training and validation. Responsibilities include collaborating with data scientists, classifying and annotating Earth science data using domain expertise (e.g., mineralogy, stratigraphy), applying geoscience knowledge to assess environmental risks for AI-driven modeling, and creating documentation. A degree in a geosciences field, hands-on experience with geological data analysis, proficiency with geoscience software and data visualization tools, strong analytical skills, and a basic understanding of AI concepts are required.

Role Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to support AI training and validation.
- Collaborate with data scientists to develop and review AI training datasets from surveys and field studies.
- Classify and annotate Earth science data using domain expertise in areas such as mineralogy and stratigraphy.
- Apply geoscience knowledge to assess environmental risks and patterns for AI-driven modeling.
- Create clear documentation and communicate scientific insights to cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Degree in Geosciences, Geology, Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with geological data analysis, interpretation, and field or lab work.
- Proficiency with geoscience software and data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to scientific accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of AI concepts or willingness to apply in geoscience workflows.
