Overview
We are seeking a
Senior QA Automation Engineer
to support a high-impact
enterprise application modernization initiative
focused on enhancing contract operations, reporting, and compliance systems.
This role is ideal for candidates with strong experience in
test automation, manual testing, and Agile QA practices
, particularly those who have worked on large-scale, data-driven or government applications.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated and manual test strategies to ensure system quality, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation & Strategy
- Design and develop automated test scripts using tools like
Playwright or similar frameworks
- Define test scenarios, priorities, and execution strategies
- Establish automated test schedules and reporting processes
- Maintain and enhance automation frameworks
Manual Testing & Execution
- Perform manual testing where automation is not feasible
- Execute and track test cases across multiple environments
- Validate functional, integration, and regression testing scenarios
Test Management & Defect Tracking
- Log, track, and manage defects using tools like
Jira
- Maintain
test case execution reports
and quality metrics
- Develop and maintain
requirements traceability matrices (RTM)
Performance & Quality Assurance
- Conduct performance testing using tools like
JMeter or similar
- Ensure application scalability, reliability, and responsiveness
- Validate system behavior under load conditions
Agile & UAT Support
- Work within an
Agile/Scrum environment
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders
- Support
UAT planning and execution
, including leading UAT efforts when needed
- Provide QA support across
Dev, Test, UAT, and Production environments
Troubleshooting & Support
- Troubleshoot failed test cases and automation scripts
- Provide on-call support as needed
- Assist development teams in identifying and resolving defects
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years
of experience in QA automation testing
- 10+ years
of experience in manual testing and test execution
- Strong experience in:
- Test script creation and execution
- Automation frameworks and tools
- Performance testing
- Hands-on experience with:
- Playwright, WebdriverIO, or similar tools
- JavaScript and HTML
- Experience with
defect tracking and test management tools (Jira)
- Proven experience working in
Agile environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- JMeter (performance testing)
- XRay, Zephyr, or similar QA tools
- Experience with
test reporting and automation dashboards
- Knowledge of
accessibility testing (ADA compliance)
- Experience supporting
government or public sector applications
