that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is
approximately $79/hr + full benefits
(vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
Cullerton Group is seeking a highly skilled IT Software Engineer 3 with a strong background in test automation and full-stack testing. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and enhancing automated testing frameworks for enterprise applications, with an emphasis on API and UI automation. The engineer will work closely with agile scrum teams and technical leads to support high-quality software delivery. This position is ideal for a proactive engineer who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain API and UI test automation frameworks
• Create and execute automated test scripts using BDD frameworks such as Cucumber and Gherkin
• Perform backend/API testing using REST Assured, Java, and Spring Boot
• Perform frontend/UI automation using Cypress or Playwright with TypeScript
• Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous testing strategies
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 6+ years of experience as an SDET or automation-focused software engineer
• Strong experience in API automation (REST Assured, Postman, Swagger, RESTful APIs)
• Strong experience in UI automation (Cypress or Playwright, HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with scrum teams
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git)
• Experience with SQL or relational databases
• End-to-end system integration testing experience
• Experience with API gateways (Apigee or similar)
• Load and performance testing experience
