Sign up to see compensation estimateOverview: CDT is seeking an experienced and skilled Site Lead and ISSE (Information Systems Security Engineer) for a DoD program in Richardson, TX.This position is hands-on technical and will provide on-site security engineering, systems administration, and information assurance support to the program.
Clearance Requirements: An active Secret is required. Candidates who do not meet these clearance requirements will not be considered.
Embark on an essential role on our team needing a blend of technical expertise and innovation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Broad Experience to perform technical work and lead a small team of Systems Administrators & ISSEs and some management tasks.
- Secure Environment Expertise: Utilize deep knowledge in security settings for secure system design and operation.
- Risk Assessment with Advanced Tools: Employ tools like ACAS, Nessus, SCC, and Eval-STIG for in-depth security monitoring and risk evaluation. Monitor and address POAM issues.
- Patch Management Innovation: Lead initiatives in patch automation, troubleshooting, and validation to enhance system security.
- Proactive Management: Collaborate with all parties for effective proactive System Administration and Security Improvements (CVEs/POAMs) using tools like Proactive Splunk Monitoring.
- Security Compliance Monitoring: Oversee IS user activities, ensuring adherence to complex security policies and protocols.
- Maintain Endpoint Trellix/ENS local installations with EPO and upstream connections. Work with upstream service providers such as DISA and C5ISR.
- System Change Analysis: Perform change management tasks to ensure proposed changes do not negatively affect user operations and the system security & compliance.
- Technical Documentation and Procedures: Develop and update key operational documents outlining the procedures/steps to maintain, update, backup/restore, and add systems.
- Experience with deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting in a secure environment. Possible technologies include:
- VMware vSphere (VMware vSAN a bonus), Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Cisco Networking (Switch, Router, NGFW), Windows Server 2022, and Windows Workstation.
Technical Areas of Expertise:
- Performing enterprise software installations and upgrades.
- Linux experience in a secure environment (Fedora, Centos, Rocky Linux, RHEL (ideal))
- Ansible, Bash, and/or PowerShell automation experience preferred.
- VMware vSphere Experience (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN etc.)
- Windows Workstation and Server deployment and administration experience.
- RMF, NIST, and NISPOM requirements, configurations, settings, and documentation.
- Network engineering experience preferred.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in deploying, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring computer systems and networks.
- Previous team leadership experience.
- Experience with implementing highly technical solutions and reporting their importance to the organization and stake holders.
- Technical certifications such as a CISSP, CCNA, Security +, RHCSA, MCP or similar.
