What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Develop, audit, and revise security documents for Tacoma Power's hydropower projects to ensure compliance with federal standards
• Serve as the primary reporting expert for security incidents and suspicious activities, coordinating with regulatory bodies
• Collaborate with the Dam Safety group to manage compliance activities and provide status reports to federal agencies
• Maintain security processes, policies, plans, and procedures to avoid financial penalties related to compliance
• Monitor and respond to key/lock replacement programs to ensure effective security measures are upheld

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, criminal justice, or a directly related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in security program administration, including electronic security systems
• Valid Washington State Driver's License
• Completion of annual training and passing a comprehensive personal risk assessment prior to employment
• Ability to demonstrate transferable skills and experience from less traditional backgrounds

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Certification as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP)
• Experience managing physical security plans, programs, and maps in a regulatory environment
• Familiarity with NERC and FERC compliance requirements
• Background in risk assessment and incident reporting
• Strong communication skills and experience working with diverse groups
