What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Act as a technical analyst to monitor, detect, and respond to security threats
• Provide level 1 and level 2 security incident support and determine remediation actions
• Develop and implement incident response processes to mitigate security risks
• Conduct risk assessments and create reports on security metrics and trends
• Collaborate with Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) to address escalated security incidents

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Minimum 3 years of information security experience
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment
• Strong proficiency in analyzing alerts from various security systems such as SIEM
• Generally requires a BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or equivalent work experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CCNA, or CCNP
• Experience in creating and tuning threat detection logic in a SIEM platform
• Experience in product evaluations and analysis in information security
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
