What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Serve as the initial evaluation point for all security-related tickets, including triage, containment, and remediation
- Conduct real-time monitoring of security events and analyze information security incidents
- Perform incident response activities, including endpoint isolation and malware remediation
- Design and manage security tools and implement operational processes for incident handling
- Provide customer support according to the employer's core values and assist with risk management and vulnerability projects
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- 5+ years of experience in information technology or Cyber Security Operations
- 2+ years of experience working in a security operations center (SOC) or on a cybersecurity incident response team
- Professional certifications such as ISC2 CISSP, SANS GIAC, or other relevant industry certifications
- Experience with data collection and analysis from various security monitoring tools
- Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Knowledge of enterprise security tools like Splunk, Tenable, Microsoft Defender, and PowerShell
- Experience in mentoring junior analysts
- Strong understanding of incident response lifecycle and documentation best practices
