What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Assess information risk and facilitate remediation of identified vulnerabilities within the network, systems, and applications
- Perform vulnerability assessments utilizing IT security tools and methodologies
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage security operations, including network intrusion detection and prevention systems
- Coordinate security plans with external vendors and maintain oversight of IT security maintenance
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in information security or related IT roles
- Associates Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience with security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration, including the ability to convey complex technical issues to non-technical staff
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
- 1-2 years of experience with Networking, Microsoft Windows Enterprise systems, and security-related systems
- Understanding of the NIST cybersecurity framework
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
