Role summary

Cyber Focus AI is seeking a Senior IT Security Analyst for a client in the Information Security industry. The role involves assessing information risk, performing vulnerability assessments, developing security policies, and managing security operations. Key responsibilities include implementing security controls, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, proven experience in security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management, and strong analytical skills. Preferred qualifications include CISSP certification and familiarity with NIST and HIPAA.

What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

Assess information risk and facilitate remediation of identified vulnerabilities within the network, systems, and applications
Perform vulnerability assessments utilizing IT security tools and methodologies
Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with regulatory requirements
Manage security operations, including network intrusion detection and prevention systems
Coordinate security plans with external vendors and maintain oversight of IT security maintenance

What Is Required (Qualifications)

Minimum 5 years of experience in information security or related IT roles
Associates Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Proven experience with security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration, including the ability to convey complex technical issues to non-technical staff

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
1-2 years of experience with Networking, Microsoft Windows Enterprise systems, and security-related systems
Understanding of the NIST cybersecurity framework
Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
