Cybersecurity Analyst (ISSO)
Role summary
Cyber Focus AII is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst (ISSO) for a remote position supporting the Department of Energy. This role involves advising system owners on cybersecurity matters, developing security documentation (System Security Plans, Incident Response Plans), maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO), conducting security assessments and vulnerability scans, and providing cybersecurity training. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 3-4 years of cybersecurity experience, and general knowledge of IT infrastructure. US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Federal Security Clearance are required. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with CDM tools like Splunk and Tenable, and knowledge of FISMA and SA&A processes.

What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Advise system owners and authorizing officials on cybersecurity matters involving information systems
- Develop required cybersecurity documentation including system security plans and incident response plans
- Collaborate with the Information Systems Security Manager to maintain the system's Authority to Operate (ATO)
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scanning of information systems
- Provide training to end users, owners, and stakeholders on cybersecurity best practices
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- US Citizenship is required
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain Federal Security Clearance at Secret or higher level
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or relevant field
- 3-4 years of progressively responsible cybersecurity experience
- General knowledge of information technologies including hardware, software, and networking protocols
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Familiarity with CDM tools such as CarbonBlack, ForeScout, Tenable, Varonis, and Splunk
- Understanding of FISMA and Security Assessment and Accreditation (SA&A) processes
- Experience with privacy policy and handling privacy incidents
