Databricks is seeking a Senior Contracts Negotiator for its EMEA business to review and negotiate customer agreements, provide legal support for revenue generation, and drive process improvements. Reporting to the Director & Assistant General Counsel, EMEA Commercial Legal, this role involves partnering with sales teams to facilitate the purchase of Databricks' AI and data analytics tools. Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating commercial agreements (NDAs, SOWs, order forms), managing the contract lifecycle, advising on contractual risks, and identifying process enhancements, potentially using AI tools. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, in-house experience in a technology company with a regular sales cycle, 3-5 years of negotiation experience, and familiarity with CRM and contract management systems.

About the Role
Databricks is looking for an experienced commercial attorney to join our growing commercial legal team with a dedicated focus on supporting our Canada field team and providing ad hoc support to bespoke commercialization/integration projects (as needed). You will be a key player in reviewing and negotiating Canadian customer agreements and providing legal support for Databricks' revenue-generating and commercialization activities. You will report to the Sr. Director & AGC, Commercial Legal.
You have 4+ years of relevant commercial legal transactional experience with a focus on complex technology transactions within the Canadian market. You possess meaningful experience negotiating SaaS commercial transactions and strong knowledge of legal issues related to Canadian data privacy (PIPEDA), information security, artificial intelligence, and intellectual property.
