Position Summary

The Instructor will be responsible for delivering classroom and/or online instruction in cybersecurity courses aligned with the NACC curriculum. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with the ability to engage and mentor adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, labs, and hands-on training in cybersecurity topics.
• Teach courses such as:
• IT Fundamentals and Networking
• Linux Administration
• Cloud Security
• Cybersecurity Fundamentals and Threat Analysis
• Security Operations and Incident Response
• Develop lesson plans, course materials, and assessments aligned with program learning outcomes.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, labs, and exams.
• Provide mentorship and academic support to students.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends, tools, and threats.
• Participate in curriculum updates and academic meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or IT security.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Network security
• Linux systems
• Cloud environments
• Security tools and frameworks (NIST, CIS, etc.)
• Excellent communication and teaching skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching or training experience in post-secondary or adult education.
• Industry certifications such as:
• CompTIA Security+
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
• CISSP
• CISM
• Experience with cybersecurity labs and simulation environments.

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
