Founding Engineer (Full-Stack / Product) – AI Platform

San Francisco (onsite) | Top-of-market compensation + equity | Seed-stage

Tech environment:
AWS, containerised infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes), scalable backend systems, and product-facing dashboards.

We’re partnering with a well-funded early-stage startup building a next-generation platform in the AI agent space.

Currently in beta with around 50 enterprise customers, the product enables companies to deploy AI agents safely at scale, with a strong focus on permissions, guardrails, and observability.

The company is now entering a critical growth phase post-launch and is hiring its first engineers to scale the platform.

The role

You will join as a Founding Engineer and work across the full stack:

• Build and scale core product features (APIs, backend systems, dashboards)
• Work on permissions, guardrails, and infrastructure layers
• Own features end-to-end, from concept to production
• Contribute to architecture and product decisions
• Collaborate directly with early customers to shape the roadmap

This is a high ownership, high velocity environment with direct impact from day one.

What they’re looking for

• 3 to 7 years of experience (flexible for exceptional profiles)
• Strong product mindset and ability to ship quickly
• Experience building scalable APIs and backend systems
• Comfortable working across backend and frontend
• Experience with cloud and infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Background in product-led or VC-backed startups
