Role Description

This is a remote contractor position for a Microsoft Cloud Security Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure Microsoft Cloud environments, ensuring they meet or exceed compliance requirements such as CMMC or HIPAA. Key duties include securing Microsoft 365 (O365), configuring Microsoft Defender and Entra ID, implementing Conditional Access and Purview solutions, and delivering advanced security engineering tailored to client requirements. Collaboration with teams and clients to assess security vulnerabilities, recommend solutions, and support ongoing operations will be vital parts of this role.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Application Security and Information Security
• Expertise in Network Security and Cybersecurity principles
• Experience with Security Engineering and designing secure environments
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, GCC High environments, and Microsoft Defender
• Knowledge of CMMC, HIPAA, and other government and industry compliance standards
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
• Clear and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholder
