Role summary

Decagon is seeking a Product Designer to join their fast-moving, high-impact design team. This role will focus on designing end-to-end experiences for building, managing, and improving AI agents on their conversational AI platform. The designer will translate complex systems into intuitive interfaces across chat, voice, and UI surfaces, collaborate closely with engineers and PMs, and work directly with users. Proficiency in Figma and modern AI tools is required, along with 4+ years of experience designing and shipping production products. Experience designing AI products or tools is a plus. This is an in-office role with a competitive salary and equity.

About The Team

We’re Building Not Just a Platform, But Interaction Patterns For AI Agents—how They’re Designed, Controlled, And Experienced Across Chat, Voice, And Beyond. This Is An Opportunity To Define What Great Agent UX Looks Like, And You’ll Work Closely With Product Engineers And PMs In a Highly Collaborative Environment, With Direct Access To

In this role, you will

  • Design end-to-end experiences for building, managing, and improving AI agents
  • Translate complex systems into intuitive interfaces across chat, voice, and UI surfaces
  • Collaborate deeply with engineers and PMs to ship quickly and iterate often
  • Work directly with users to understand real workflows and pain points
  • Define and evolve design systems that support AI-native interactions
  • Use Figma and AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) to prototype, explore, and even ship parts of the product

Your background looks something like this

  • 4+ years designing and shipping production products
  • Strong ownership mindset—you drive projects from concept to launch
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
  • Deep care for craft, usability, and visual polish
  • Proficient in Figma (or similar) with a strong portfolio
  • Comfort using modern AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) as part of your workflow

Even better

  • Have experience designing AI products or tools
  • Familiarity with agent-based systems, LLMs, or automation workflows
  • Experience working closely with engineers or contributing to implementation
