The AI & Data practice specializes in designing, developing, and operating advanced Data and AI platforms, products, insights, and services, helping clients innovate and scale their data and analytics capabilities. As a Consultant, you will design and implement data ingestion, integration, and curation pipelines for modern data warehouses, lakes, and meshes.

Collaborating amongst team members across several geographies, as an
Analytics Data Engineer
you will design and implement data ingestion, integration & curation pipelines and ecosystems for the enablement and modernization of data warehouses, lakes and meshes leveraging packaged or custom technologies.

Work you'll do
As a
Consultant
in our AI & Data Team, you will bring strong technical, functional and project management solutions to clients with a focus on achieving a high level of performance and quality through delivery of both agile and traditional projects to provide exceptional business value to users.
Qualifications
Required:

  • 2+ years of relevant technology consulting or industry experience providing data-driven solutions, leveraging Analytics and Business Intelligence for information dissemination
  • 1+ years experience with PySpark
  • 1+ years experience with Spark
  • 2+ years experience with Scala and Python
  • 2+ years experience with SQL
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with data core modernization and data ingestion
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

  • Experience with Cloud using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Understanding of emerging technologies (such as GenAI) and advanced data architectures (ie: Multimodal data management & model design, Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Data Products, etc.)
  • Understanding of the benefits of data warehousing, data architecture, data quality processes, data warehousing design and implementation, table structure, fact and dimension tables, logical and physical database design, data modeling, reporting process metadata, and ETL processes.
  • Experience designing and implementing reporting and visualization for unstructured and structured data sets
  • Experience designing and developing data cleansing routines utilizing typical data quality functions involving standardization, transformation, rationalization, linking and matching
  • Knowledge of data, master data and metadata related standards, processes and technology
  • Experience working with multi-Terabyte data sets
  • Experience with real-time data movement solutions that use security and encryption protocols while data is in transit
  • An advanced degree in the area of specialization is preferred

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,400 to $155,400.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
