Role summary

This is a 6-month contract role for an IT Product Owner to provide extra support on-site. The primary responsibility is to define the MVP and rollout plan for a Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP), manage the product backlog with a risk-based approach, and facilitate communication with stakeholders to align with AppSec Governance goals. The role requires 7+ years of Product Management experience and 5+ years in Information Security, with familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) and CNAPP components. The ideal candidate excels in communication, stakeholder management, and organization, with solid cloud security experience.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Possibility of etension & conversion to FTE? – Yes / possible. It depends on the business case and funding.

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday – No overtime

Typical Day in the Role

• Define the MVP and rollout plan of the CNAPP (Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform) product, clearly outlining the problems and risks it's solving

• Facilitate communication on CNAPP roadmap progress with stakeholders and clients to align with the AppSec Governance goals

• Manage and prioritize with a risk-based approach on the product backlog, new features, and enhancements

• Facilitate forums and prepare the team for constructive collaboration sessions with cross-functional teams, technology and business channels, and control functions

• Define and report on overall status, metrics, key achievements, next steps and risks with a data-driven approach

• Drive collaboration between senior execs, platforms, product managers, IT owners, security and technology experts etc.

• Work with Application teams, Cloud Platform teams, and SMEs to define timelines, migration strategy, strategic & tactical recommendations and spearhead socialization and buy-ins from stakeholders

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 7+ years’ experience in Product Management (or equivalent) capacity required

• 5+ years’ experience in Information Security

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)

• Familiarity with CNAPP components: CWPP, CIEM, CSPM, KSPM etc.

• Hands-on experience in Agile tooling such as JIRA, Confluence, etc. to create Epics, User Stories and track Tasks

Nice to have requirements

• Hands-on experience in developing security product requirements and prioritization of backlogs

The best candidate is someone who has solid cloud security experience and excels in communication, stakeholder management, and organization.
