The Role
As a UX Researcher, you'll have opportunities to work with product teams to improve the Dev Launchers platform. This role is designed to help you develop industry-relevant skills and build a competitive portfolio. This is an unpaid volunteer position.
Key Responsibilities

  • Use different research methods such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and more, to address Dev Launchers needs.
  • Work with product teams (synchronously and/or asynchronously) to identify research opportunities, conduct research, implement findings, and incorporate user-centered principles into product designs.
  • Help with internal documentation.
  • Champion including user needs and research-based findings to inform product strategy and design.
  • Support and work with other researchers on the team.

What We’re Looking For
✔️ Curiosity and passion for UX research with 0 to 4 years of experience in the field.
✔️ Basic understanding of user research concepts (or willingness to learn quickly).
✔️ Interest in receiving UX Research mentorship and participating in learning sessions.
✔️ Interest in improving skills needed to work with cross-functional teams.
✔️ Willingness to explore and use new technologies.
✔️ Availability of 5-10 hours per week for at least 6 months.
✔️ Ability to attend the following

  • Once a month cross-group meeting occurring on Sunday, 9 30 AM – 10 30 AM CST
  • Weekly research team meeting on Sunday, 10 45 AM – 11 45 AM CST

✔️ Willingness to engage in asynchronous/synchronous communication with other team members.
