Dewberry is seeking a Geospatial Data Analyst for an on-call, national disaster response role. This position involves supporting disaster recovery efforts across the United States for 6-12 month assignments. The analyst will create geospatial and analytical solutions, performing data management, analysis, transformation, automation, and visualization. Responsibilities include working on client projects, large-scale geospatial modeling for risk assessment, applying statistical techniques, developing applications, and preparing documentation. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience with data management and analysis applications are required, along with proficiency in tools like ArcGIS Pro, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite. A valid driver's license is also necessary.

Job Description
Dewberry is currently seeking a Geospatial Data Analyst to join our cadre of skilled professional and technical staff in an on-call capacity to national disaster response across the United States.
Work assignments involve being called to support disaster recovery work for a period of 6-12 months.

Responsibilities
Candidates will have strong competencies and demonstrated experience developing data management, analysis, and visualization solutions with an emphasis on business analytics. Work assignments will be varied to include:

  • Work on consulting projects for government and commercial clients.
  • Support large scale geospatial analytical modeling efforts to identify hazards, assess risk, and evaluate risk reduction methods.
  • Apply statistical, numerical and/or computer application techniques.
  • Develop web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Participate in testing, supporting and deploying tools and preparing technical documentation.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, GIS or other relevant geospatial or data science related field.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working with data management and analysis applications
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Survey123 and other related software.
  • Excellent problem-solving, verbal and written communication, design development, and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work independently using strong organizational skills and operate effectively in team settings using an agile software development approach.
  • Maintain and support application(s) according to changing business/mission requirements.

Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
