Overview

We are seeking a DevOps / Linux & Kubernetes Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-performing enterprise technology team. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in complex infrastructure environments, is passionate about automation and container orchestration, and can balance innovation with operational stability.

You will play a key role in modernizing Linux and Kubernetes platforms, improving automation and deployment practices, and helping drive scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the modernization and optimization of Linux and Kubernetes environments in an enterprise setting.
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, container registries, and infrastructure automation frameworks using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Partner with networking, compute, storage, and application teams to streamline delivery across hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Implement and support best practices for containerized workloads, including performance tuning, monitoring, observability, security, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and support production systems with a focus on reliability, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to infrastructure standards, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.
  • Mentor team members on Linux, Kubernetes, automation, and platform engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Linux systems in enterprise environments, including distributions such as RHEL, Ubuntu, or CentOS.
  • 3+ years of Kubernetes administration experience, including cluster operations and tools such as Helm, Rancher, or OpenShift.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD platforms such as GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or comparable solutions.
  • Solid understanding of networking, storage, and security principles in hybrid or enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise modernization, transformation, or migration initiatives.
  • Experience with OpenShift or other enterprise-grade container orchestration platforms.
  • Exposure to public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
