Staff Technical Product Marketing Manager
Role summary
DigitalOcean is seeking a Staff Technical Product Marketing Manager to own the technical go-to-market strategy for their AI-Native Cloud product lines. This role requires a deep technical practitioner with strong storytelling abilities, comfortable with coding and API scripting. You will define product positioning and messaging, create technical content and demos, and represent the company on stage. Responsibilities include driving product launches, enabling sales teams, and mentoring other PMMs. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in marketing developer platforms or equivalent software development/solutions engineering experience, with practical knowledge of the AI stack, including inference, RAG, and agentic frameworks. This is a hybrid role with a compensation range of $191,000 - $239,000.
Dive in and do the best work of your career at DigitalOcean. Journey alongside a strong community of top talent who are relentless in their drive to build the simplest scalable cloud. If you have a growth mindset, naturally like to think big and bold, and are energized by the fast-paced environment of a true industry disruptor, you’ll find your place here. We value winning together—while learning, having fun, and making a profound difference for the dreamers and builders in the world.
As a Staff Technical Product Marketing Manager, you will own the technical go-to-market for your area end to end, driven from two angles: the products (one or more of our AI-Native Cloud product lines) and the markets they serve (use cases, verticals, segments). You set the standard for how technical product marketing is executed on this team, on our stages, and in our most important executive moments. This is a role for a technical practitioner who is also a natural storyteller: you enjoy building with products just as much as you communicate their value with ease.
Reporting to the Head of Product Marketing, you will work cross-functionally across many orgs while partnering with your peers in Product, Revenue, and Marketing leadership to provide strategic direction and insights. You define how DigitalOcean differentiates in a market prone to empty hype by translating architecture into advantage and backing it with real, authentic proof. You are the person who decides not just what we built, but who it is for, what it replaces, and why it matters to them.
