Lead Software Engineer – AWS Cloud / DevOps

Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Onsite/Hybrid)

Contract: 3–6 Months

Experience: 10–15 Years

We are looking for an experienced
Lead Software Engineer / Senior AWS Consultant
to join a high-impact cloud transformation initiative. This role is ideal for a
cloud architecture expert
who thrives in designing scalable AWS solutions and leading DevOps-driven cloud implementations.

AWS architecture, API Gateway, and cloud-native infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and design
AWS-based cloud solutions

• Architect and implement
secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud environments
on AWS

• Lead
cloud architecture discussions, workshops, and technical guidance sessions

• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to deliver
end-to-end cloud solutions

• Monitor and optimize
cloud performance, scalability, and cost efficiency

• Drive adoption of
AWS best practices, security standards, and governance frameworks

• Stay updated with emerging
AWS technologies and cloud innovation

Must-Have Skills

✔ Strong expertise in
AWS services
– EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation

✔ Hands-on experience with
AWS API Gateway and cloud integrations

✔ Deep understanding of
cloud architecture, security, and compliance frameworks

✔ Proven ability to design
highly available and scalable AWS infrastructure

✔ Strong problem-solving and
client-facing communication skills

Preferred Skills

- Experience with
DevOps practices & CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on with
Docker, Kubernetes, and automation tools
- Programming experience with
Python, Java, or Node.js
- Exposure to
multi-cloud environments (Azure / GCP)

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- AWS Certification (e.g.,
AWS Certified Solutions Architect
) – highly preferred
- 10–15 years
of experience in cloud engineering, architecture, or consulting
