Role summary

A U.S. client specializing in IT consulting and modernization for the energy and utilities sector is seeking a remote Performance Test Engineer. The role involves performing various types of performance testing (integration, stress, load, regression) to ensure software applications and infrastructure are production-ready. Responsibilities include designing and executing test scripts, analyzing system behavior under different conditions, and reporting defects. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience, proficiency with LoadRunner, Oracle C2M/CC&B, Oracle DB/SQL tuning, WebLogic/JVM, and batch/integration performance testing.

Salary: 70,000 – 100,000 PHP

We are looking for a Performance Test Engineer for our U.S. client specializing in IT consulting and modernization for the energy and utilities sector. Our client focuses on delivering innovative solutions, including Customer Information Systems, advisory services, and large-scale transformation projects. Their mission is to support utility organizations in improving efficiency, reliability, and customer experience through advanced technology and strategic expertise.

Responsibilities

  • As Performance Test Engineer you will be performing integration, stress, load, regression, and performance testing, ensuring production readiness of software applications and infrastructure in terms of stability and performance;
  • You will be providing performance testing support for software systems within the assigned business unit, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements;
  • You will be coordinating and executing the creation of test cases, scripts, and performance test execution, ensuring proper coverage and accuracy of testing activities;
  • You will be designing, developing, and executing test scripts, ensuring a high level of confidence in validating test cases defined in the project’s test plan;
  • You will be performing automated load and performance testing across multiple messaging protocols, ensuring system reliability under different conditions;
  • You will be tracking and communicating task progress, status, and key performance metrics, ensuring transparency and effective reporting;
  • You will be reporting defects identified during testing in a diligent, prompt, and accurate manner, ensuring proper documentation in standard defect tracking tools;
  • You will be designing, developing, and executing performance test cases and scripts based on product specifications and software requirements, while mentoring other test team members.

Requirement

  • 2+ years of experience as a Performance Test Engineer, ensuring hands-on expertise in performance testing activities;
  • Experience with LoadRunner, ensuring effective execution of performance and load testing scenarios;
  • Experience with performance stress endurance and scalability testing, enabling validation of system behavior under varying conditions;
  • Experience with Oracle C2M or CC&B, enabling work within domain-specific systems and environments;
  • Experience with Oracle DB and SQL tuning, enabling performance optimization and efficient data handling;
  • Experience with WebLogic and JVM, enabling analysis and tuning of application performance at runtime level;
  • Experience with batch and integration performance, ensuring stability and efficiency of backend processes and system integrations.
