Role summary

Doxel is transforming the $15T Construction Industry by applying computer vision and AI to provide real-time visibility into project progress, risk, and execution. The Director of Product Engineering will lead a team of engineers and managers responsible for the customer-facing application. This role requires technical leadership in full-stack architecture, cross-functional collaboration with product, design, operations, and customer success, and a focus on growing and developing the engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing managers, extensive engineering leadership experience with large-scale products, and technical depth in SOA, web client frameworks, data pipelines, and AI/ML.

The Role

As the Director of Product Engineering, you will manage a team of engineers and managers who are responsible for Doxel’s customer-facing application. You will be a technical leader, setting the vision for the full-stack architecture. You will partner closely with product managers, designers, operations, and customer success to design and deliver new functionality at scale. You will organize and grow your team in order to meet the needs of the business. And you will help team members progress on their individual career paths.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field

5+ years of managing managers experience

10+ years of engineering leadership, including building large-scale customer-facing products

Technical depth in service-oriented architecture, web client frameworks, data pipelines, and AI/ML

Experience building products using AI/ML

Preferred Experience

Experience with 3D rendering - especially in a web client

Domain experience/knowledge in construction

Experience building software in an operations-focused business
