Role summary

Dynatrace is seeking a Principal Product Manager for Pricing & Monetization to drive revenue growth through strategic packaging and pricing initiatives in B2B Enterprise SaaS. This role requires 7+ years in strategic Product Management and 5+ years in monetization strategy, packaging, and pricing. Responsibilities include designing and implementing monetization programs, developing value-based pricing models, conducting market and competitive analysis, engaging with customers and partners, and leveraging data for insights and decision-making. The ideal candidate will be adept at influencing cross-functional teams and enabling sales teams, with a strong analytical background and a passion for commercial success.

As Principal PM for Pricing & Monetization, you'll own the design and implementation of packaging and pricing initiatives that accelerate revenue growth across key market channels. You'll champion the Dynatrace Platform Subscription (DPS) and ensure our commercial model stays ahead of market dynamics, monetization trends, and competitive benchmarks.
Your Responsibilities

  • Lead Strategic Monetization Initiatives: Design and implement strategic programs that accelerate growth across new offerings and markets. Act as the program leader for cross-functional efforts to effectively implement changes.
  • Design Value-based Packaging and Pricing Models: Develop and execute strategies at both the portfolio level and capability rate card level that maximize customer value and business outcomes.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence: Continuously monitor market dynamics, competitor pricing, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Customer & Partner Engagement: Collaborate with key customers and partners to validate pricing strategies, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with perceived value.
  • Evangelize & Enable: Enable customer-facing teams on monetization strategies and tactics, publish thought-leadership materials, and be a reliable partner in efficient deal execution.
  • Analytics & Insights: Analyze street pricing and deal economics, derive insights, and accelerate growth through data-driven decisions.

Minimum Requirements
What will help you succeed

  • 7+ years of experience in a strategic Product Management role within B2B Enterprise Saas environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in defining monetization strategies and shaping field‑ready packaging and pricing.

Preferred Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional programs and drive change, with a strong bias toward action and improvement iteratively.
  • Expertise in competitive benchmarking and monetization strategies, including analyzing competitor pricing models, identifying gaps, and translating insights into actionable pricing recommendations.
  • Ability to effectively engage with both technical audiences and C-level executives, bringing experience in influencing and tailoring messaging for diverse stakeholders.

  • Working with Finance: governance of global list pricing, analysis of discount and margin impacts, and drive data‑backed pricing scenarios and forecasts.
  • Collaborating with the Deal Desk: structuring of complex deals that maintain pricing integrity while supporting strategic opportunities.

Compensation And Rewards
DOE, salary $204K - $255K, plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience/education and location.
