We’re looking for a
Founding Recruiter
to help us achieve ambitious hiring goals while maintaining an exceptionally high bar for talent and culture fit. As our first dedicated recruiting hire, you’ll own and build our recruiting function from the ground up. You’ll shape processes, systems, and strategy while directly driving hiring across the company. You’ll partner closely with our Head of People and company leaders to scale the team thoughtfully and strengthen our employer brand.

This is a rare opportunity to build a recruiting function from scratch at a company with meaningful scale ahead. You’ll have direct impact on how we grow, who we hire, and how our culture evolves.

About the role

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Run searches for positions at all levels, from entry-level to executive.
  • Own the recruiting process from end-to-end, including tracking and meeting hiring goals, training staff on recruiting processes, and maintaining high hiring standards.
  • Build out and manage recruiting platforms and applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Proactively source top talent using LinkedIn Recruiter and creative, non-traditional channels.
  • Manage the hiring process from start to finish: screen resumes, source candidates, perform first calls, and ensure all stages of the recruiting process are being followed and running smoothly.
  • Establish and track candidate experience as a top priority.
  • Establish, maintain, and analyze the efficacy of relationships with third party recruiting agencies.
  • Hire and manage other recruiting team members.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in high-volume environments.
  • Experience hiring across a range of roles (e.g., engineering, sales, operations), with a builder mindset when it comes to entirely new talent pools. You’re excited to figure out how to hire for roles you’ve never recruited for before (e.g., funeral directors, NOR operators).
  • AI-native approach: you’ve used AI to automate workflows, build tools, or experiment with new recruiting strategies.
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems and hiring process best practices.
  • Independent, self-driven, and hyper-organized work style.
  • Previous experience managing relationships with external agencies, vendors, and software providers.
  • A passion for working with data and using self-generated metrics and analyses to drive results.
  • Excellent customer service skills, collaborative mindset, and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to manage rapidly shifting, competing priorities.
  • Experience recruiting for venture-backed technology startups, especially sales and engineering roles.
