*Senior Cloud Automation Engineer (AWS / Azure)*
to work in our

office.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Cloud Automation Engineer to support the build and ongoing improvement of cloud environments across AWS and Azure. This role is hands-on and focused on automation, including writing infrastructure code, improving deployment pipelines, and helping teams operate more efficiently in the cloud.
The position works closely with engineering and security teams to deliver consistent, repeatable infrastructure and deployment patterns. The focus is on doing the work, solving problems, and improving how cloud environments are built and maintained over time.
Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure
  • Write and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including reusable modules
  • Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins
  • Implement and support Git-based deployment workflows
  • Automate provisioning of cloud resources, including networking, compute, and storage
  • Support identity and access management, including SSO, roles, and permissions
  • Troubleshoot issues across environments and assist teams during deployments
  • Refactor and improve existing infrastructure and pipelines where needed
  • Document solutions and patterns for reuse across teams
  • Support infrastructure for data platforms, including storage, data pipelines, and integration with analytics tools
  • Help enable environments that support AI or machine learning workloads where needed

Required Skills

  • US Citizen; ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • 5-8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or similar roles
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and or Azure in production environments
  • Strong experience writing and maintaining Terraform code
  • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency with Git and version-controlled workflows
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, routing, and security groups
  • Understanding of security fundamentals, including identity and access management, SSO, RBAC, and encryption
  • Experience supporting operational aspects such as monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting
  • Scripting experience using Python, Bash, or similar
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently

Desired Skills

  • Experience with GitOps style workflows
  • Exposure to Kubernetes or container-based platforms
  • Familiarity with cloud security tools and compliance frameworks
  • Experience supporting data platforms or data engineering workflows
  • Exposure to AI or machine learning environments or supporting infrastructure
  • Experience working in government or regulated environments
  • AWS or Azure certifications
