What You’ll Do

You will be a senior data analytics leader who partners directly with executives and cross-functional teams to turn ambiguous business goals into repeatable, high-impact data products and dashboards. You’ll author scalable SQL and dbt models, design executive-grade BI artifacts, lead BI platform migration workstreams, and publish insights that guide multi-million-dollar decisions.

  • Create high-quality, scalable analytic products, dashboards, and reports (executive and operational).
  • Lead migration from one BI platform to another (e.g., Tableau → Looker/Sigma), minimizing disruption and documenting migration standards.
  • Design and build executive dashboards including weekly operational metrics, board-level KPIs, and strategic planning tools.
  • Translate ambiguous business requests into actionable analysis plans and coordinate execution across multiple analysts.
  • Turn complex SQL queries into performant, repeatable dbt models and Snowflake data models.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Revenue, and other teams as a trusted data strategist and thought partner.
  • Publish external thought leadership in collaboration with content teams when relevant.
  • Promote data quality, testing, and analytical rigor across the analytics org.
  • Mentor and coach other analysts: code reviews, pair programming, and analytic architecture guidance.
  • Communicate complex technical themes clearly to non-technical and executive audiences.

What We’re Looking For

The candidate will have deep hands-on analytics experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to influence at the executive level.

  • 8+ years in data analytics, product analytics, or business intelligence roles with proven executive-level influence.
  • Expert SQL skills with experience analyzing very large datasets (10B+ rows).
  • Hands-on experience with dbt (dbt Cloud preferred) and Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouse).
  • Experience building and maintaining production-level dashboards in BI tools (Looker, Sigma, Tableau, etc.).
  • Strong data modeling, metric governance, and data quality best practices.
  • Familiarity with version control workflows and collaborative development practices.
  • Experience using Python and Streamlit for analytic apps or prototypes.
  • Demonstrated history of proactively identifying strategic opportunities and building business cases.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills tailored to executive stakeholders.
  • Experience using AI tools to augment analysis and increase impact.

Nice-to-Haves

These will help you move faster but are not required.

  • Prior experience leading BI platform migrations.
  • Experience with multiple BI platforms, especially Sigma.
  • Strong Python skills for analytics and application development.
  • Experience presenting to C-suite audiences and publishing external thought leadership.
  • Background in two-sided marketplaces, e‑commerce, or regulated industries.
  • Knowledge or experience in the cannabis marketplace is a plus but not required.
