Role summary

The Ads Experience team is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to build systems connecting brands and creators on a large-scale interactive platform. This role focuses on ad-tech, monetization, and creator tools, involving the design and implementation of full-stack features for an advertising platform. Responsibilities include developing backend services (Go, C#) for campaign management and reporting, creating frontend interfaces (React, TypeScript) for inventory and revenue management, writing tests, maintaining CI/CD, monitoring production systems, and integrating AI capabilities. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of experience, strong programming skills, and a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals.

What You’ll Do

You will join the Ads Experience team to build the systems and experiences that connect brands and creators across a large-scale interactive platform. This is a full-stack role focused on ad-tech, monetization, and creator tools.

  • Design and implement full-stack features for an advertising platform (Ads Manager) used by advertisers, brands, and creators.
  • Build performant delivery and rendering logic for immersive brand ad units that integrate into real-time 3D experiences.
  • Implement backend services for campaign creation, targeting, and real-time reporting (Go, C#, or similar).
  • Develop frontend interfaces and dashboards using React and TypeScript to help advertisers and creators manage inventory and revenue.
  • Write high-quality unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain CI/CD practices to ensure system reliability and scalability.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, optimize performance, and ensure low-latency ad delivery at scale.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and cross-functional engineers to scope and deliver polished features.
  • Help integrate AI-powered capabilities (e.g., generative AI for creative tools, intelligent campaign recommendations) into workflows and tooling.

You Have

  • 1–3 years of software engineering experience (internships and co-ops included) with proven ability to deliver production-quality code.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one modern language (Go, C#, Java, Python, or C++).
  • Experience or strong interest in end-to-end full-stack development, including modern frontend frameworks (React, TypeScript) and backend services.
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms) and debugging skills for complex, distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with writing automated tests, participating in code reviews, and using observability/monitoring tools.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies quickly (3D engines, distributed systems patterns, ad-tech concepts, AI/ML integrations).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work with cross-functional partners to deliver features.

Preferred (nice-to-have)

  • Experience with ad tech, campaign management systems, or real-time analytics.
  • Prior work on creator/monetization platforms or commerce tooling.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization in client environments (e.g., games, 3D) and low-latency delivery.

Compensation & Location

  • For roles based at the confidential client’s San Mateo, CA location, the stated annual base salary range is $153,120—$195,780 USD. The actual base pay offered will depend on job-related factors including professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand; in some cases the salary may fall outside of this range. This range is subject to change.
  • Full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and benefits as determined by the confidential client.

Work Model & Schedule

  • Onsite at the San Mateo, CA office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
