
Data Analyst
Role summary
This Data Analyst position involves coordinating and overseeing the development, maintenance, and analysis of key data indicators, risk factors, and service utilization. The role requires moderate to complex data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting, responding to internal stakeholder requests for data and ad-hoc analyses. The analyst will support process improvement efforts with data-driven recommendations and assist team members with technical tasks. A Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience are required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred skills include SQL, data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau, and statistical analysis.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate and oversee the development, maintenance, and analysis of key measurements and other relevant data indicators, risk factors, and service utilization data. Responsible for moderate to complex data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting. Respond to requests from Department/Bureau staff for population data and reports. Provide advanced support and assistance to one or more supervisors or professionals.
- Coordinate and maintain datasets, KPIs, and performance/risk indicators
- Execute moderate-to-complex data collection, cleaning, and validation
- Analyze data, interpret findings, and produce clear, actionable reports
- Respond to internal stakeholder requests for data, ad-hoc analyses, and visualizations
- Support process improvement efforts using data-driven recommendations
- Assist supervisors and team members with technical analyses and reporting tasks
- Edit and reformat written or electronic drafts, transcribe reports or similar material as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree is required
- Two (2) years of data analysis or directly related experience is required, OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Degrees awarded outside the United States (with the exception of those awarded in U.S. territories and Canada) must be credentialed by World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) member organization.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Skill in executing moderately complex data collection, synthesis, analysis, reporting, and developing recommendations where analysis is often procedural and straightforward
- Ability to collaborate with team members and entry-level management to ensure accuracy and precision in analysis
- Knowledge of procedural analytical practices and ability to adapt to new methods
- Experience using data to drive measurable process improvements
- Ability to edit and reformat written or electronic drafts and transcribe reports from voice or handwritten drafts
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
Preferred (not required) keywords/skills often associated with success in this role:

Physical Requirements
Sedentary work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may also involve walking or standing for brief periods.

Compensation & Additional Requirements
- Salary range: $81,385 - $89,906
- This position requires successful completion of post-offer tests, which may include a background check, drug screen and medical examination
