Case Management Data Analyst, FT Days
Role summary
The Case Management Data Analyst, a full-time position, supports the Case Management Director and Physician Advisor by managing and analyzing database information. Key responsibilities include creating, analyzing, and maintaining data, coordinating and preparing reports for various committees and meetings, and developing spreadsheets, dashboards, and presentations. This role requires two years of experience in a hospital environment with knowledge of case management principles, clinical documentation, and managed care. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field is required. Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of HIPAA standards are essential. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Under the supervision of the Director of Case Management, the Case Management Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the Case Management Director, Physician Advisor, and all aspects of the Case Management department as a whole. Duties include creating, analyzing, and maintaining database information, supporting overall operations, and coordinating and preparing reports for presentation to various committees and monthly meetings. The Case Management Data Analyst must exhibit excellent communication, organizational, prioritizing, planning and technical skills. This position interfaces with all hospital personnel, physicians, community partners, and payers.
Work Experience:
- Two years of experience working in a hospital environment with knowledge of case management, clinical documentation, chart review, utilization management, managed care, and/or claims denials and appeals process.
License/Registration/Certification:
- None.
Education and Training:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or related field required.
Skills:
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of internal and external customers required.
- Regularly demonstrates strong organizational, multi-tasking, interpersonal, excellent written/verbal communication, time management, critical thinking, creative problem solving, and conflict management skills required.
- Ability to analyze data and develop reports and/or dashboards required.
- Strong computer skills including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, in order to develop spreadsheets, visual dashboards, and presentations required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA standards required.
