Role summary
Elanco, a global leader in animal health, seeks a Senior Product Manager for its Manufacturing Excellence group. This role will lead the strategy and delivery of digital solutions to modernize global manufacturing operations, partnering with process owners and engineering teams. Responsibilities include managing the product lifecycle, defining roadmaps, driving data-informed decisions, and mentoring other product managers. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of technology experience, including 5+ years supporting GxP systems with CSV and 3+ years supporting manufacturing operations. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Preferred qualifications include experience with MES, data platforms, analytics, IoT, and product manager mentorship.

Your Role: Senior Product Manager, Manufacturing Excellence
As a Senior Product Manager within the Manufacturing Excellence group, you will lead the strategy and delivery of digital solutions that modernize global manufacturing operations. You will partner closely with global process owners and engineering teams to digitize the plant floor, improve efficiency, and deliver high-impact products aligned with Elanco’s digital strategy.
In this role, you will initially concentrate on driving innovation, efficiency, and leveraging your expertise to enhance key manufacturing processes and digital products. As part of a dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to broaden your impact by transitioning into other product areas as business priorities evolve and new challenges arise.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead product strategy, discovery, and execution for manufacturing platforms and digital solutions
- Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through launch and continuous improvement
- Partner with manufacturing and engineering leaders to define product roadmaps and align with business priorities
- Drive data-informed decisions to improve product performance and operational outcomes
- Mentor and support other product managers to strengthen team capability
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related field
- Experience: 10+ years of technology experience, including 5+ years supporting GxP systems with Computer System Validation (CSV) and 3+ years supporting manufacturing operations
- Core Skills: Strong product management expertise (roadmap ownership, product discovery, delivery of complex technical solutions) combined with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and solve complex business challenges
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred qualifications):
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Experience with data platforms, analytics, or IoT in manufacturing environments
- Experience mentoring or leading other product managers
- Advanced degree (MBA or related field)
