Role summary
Elder Research Inc. is seeking a Senior Exploitation Specialist (Data Scientist) in the DC Metro Area. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Data Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, etc.) and a minimum of 4 years of experience in data management or a related field, with a background in intelligence analysis. The candidate must be proficient in scripting at a senior level in Python, designing scalable data processing solutions, identifying trends and insights from large datasets, and creating data visualizations. Experience operating in a high-tempo environment and managing multiple projects is essential. A TS/SCI + CI Poly security clearance is mandatory.

Senior Exploitation Specialist (Data Scientist)
to join our team in the
DC Metro Area.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Data Management, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Cartography, Geospatial Sciences, Physical Sciences, or bachelor’s degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science.
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience that involves management of databases or in a related field that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work.
- They must have a background with intelligence experience, where they provided analysis and/or data science directly supporting an intelligence mission.
- They must be able to operate at a senior level and in an independent environment.
- They must be proficient at creating processes around large data sets to identify analytical discoveries,
- Demonstrated proficiency in designing and implementing scalable processes for large and complex datasets to identify trends, insights, and analytical discoveries.
- They must be able to script at a Senior Level in python. (Other languages, low/code-no/code programs (JEMA, Brewlytics, ArcModel Builder), etc. are great but they must have Python.)
- Must be able to take these discoveries and provide them through visualizations that are easily integrated into daily operations.
- They must be able to operate in high tempo environment and be able to develop and manage multiple projects and solutions at one time in various stages of implementation.
- Familiarity with common Intelligence Community (IC) data repositories.

- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
