Position Overview
We are seeking an IT Support Technician with a strong emphasis in network engineering. This hybrid role involves supporting end-user systems while contributing to the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have relevant certifications and technical aptitude, with the ability to work across teams and adapt to a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices
  • Assist with network infrastructure setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting (firewalls, switches, routers)
  • Configure and maintain network hardware and software, including Fortinet, Juniper, and Cisco systems
  • Support user account management, permissions and security protocols
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate records of system configurations and changes
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to support automation systems and secure connectivity
  • Participate in system upgrades, patching, and hardware refresh projects
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets and escalate issues when needed

Qualifications
Education & Experience:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in IT support or network administration is strongly preferred
  • Candidates with a combination of relevant certifications and experience will be considered, especially if they demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and adapt to our environment

Certifications (strongly Preferred)

  • Network+
  • CCNA
  • Fortinet NSE certifications
  • Juniper certifications
  • A+ certification

Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with network protocols, IP addressing, and VLANs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Other Requirements

  • Flexible hours and overtime availability when needed
  • Ability to lift up-to 30 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as cable routing and equipment setup
  • Background check and drug screen required

Compensation & Benefits
