Role summary

Ellipsis Labs is seeking Software Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 to join their early-stage startup. Interns will build real product features and platform components across the full stack, backend, infrastructure, or on-chain systems, based on their skills and interests. The role involves owning projects end-to-end, from problem definition to deployment and monitoring, and collaborating with design and engineering teams to deliver fast, reliable, and secure experiences. Candidates should have hands-on software building experience in languages like TypeScript, Python, or Rust, solid CS fundamentals, familiarity with Git, and an interest in DeFi/crypto. Experience in full-stack, backend, DevOps, or on-chain systems is preferred.

### Who you are
- Hands-on experience building software (courses, personal projects, research, or internships) in one or more languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Rust, Java, C/C++; you write clear, tested code
- Solid CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, systems thinking) and familiarity with Git and basic debugging
- Ability to make informed trade-offs with business context; high agency and a team-first mindset
- Curiosity about DeFi/crypto (prior domain experience not required)
- Experience in one or more areas: full-stack web (React/Javascript), backend APIs/services, infrastructure/DevOps (Docker, CI/CD, cloud), or on-chain/low-level systems
- Familiarity with blockchain technology (Solana a plus)
- Interest or experience in fintech/trading
- Rust or TypeScript proficiency
