Role summary
Emburse is seeking a Manager, Professional Services - Travel Systems to lead a team of consultants in configuring and optimizing Emburse solutions for travel clients. This role requires deep travel industry expertise, including GDS, PNR logic, API integrations, and TMC workflows, combined with strong people leadership and operational management skills. The manager will drive strategic execution of travel implementations, ensure alignment with customer travel policies and system integrations, and oversee delivery excellence across booking, rebooking, and data exchange configurations. The position partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer teams to ensure high-quality deployments and continuous process improvement.

This role combines deep travel industry expertise (GDS, PNR logic, API integrations, TMC workflows) with strong people leadership and operational management. This leader will drive strategic execution of travel implementations, ensure alignment with customer travel policies and system integrations, and oversee delivery excellence across booking, rebooking, and data exchange configurations. Education: Bachelor’s degree, college diploma, or equivalent professional experience.
Leadership: 4+ years leading direct reports with a focus on coaching, development, and constructive feedback.
Project Management: 4+ years of PM experience within a fast-paced technology or software implementation environment.
Industry Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Emburse products or equivalent enterprise platforms.
GDS Mastery: Advanced knowledge of Sabre, Amadeus, and Travelport (Apollo, Galileo, Worldspan).
Technical Travel Logic: Deep understanding of PNR structure, ticketing, exchanges, TMC logic, and booking/rebooking workflows.
System Integrations: Experience aligning travel booking data for API integrations and familiarity with platforms like Magna Tech.
Financial Acumen: Strong knowledge of accounting systems, financial terminology, and CRM/database-driven workflow tools.
Strategic Oversight: Ability to manage configurations that enforce corporate travel policies and optimize client savings.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret team performance data and complex system-level travel data.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and virtual presentation skills for a customer-facing environment.
