Job Description: Senior Data Analyst

Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our innovative analytics team. The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for leading data analysis, reporting, and data governance initiatives across the Employees’ Retirement Fund (ERF). This role supports strategic decision-making by transforming complex data from multiple systems—including V3locity (Majesco), Salesforce (Clarity System), and legacy Excel-based datasets—into actionable insights.

The position plays a critical role in ensuring data integrity, supporting pension administration, financial reporting, and enabling performance measurement aligned with ERF’s Strategic Plan and “Budgeting for Outcomes” framework.

<Duties>

  • Lead advanced data analysis across ERF systems including V3locity, Salesforce (Clarity), and Excel-based legacy data sources
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support executive leadership and Board reporting (e.g., Clarity monthly performance reports)
  • Perform data mining, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation across multiple systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Support the V3locity migration effort, including data extraction, transformation, testing, and validation
  • Integrate data across platforms to enable a single source of truth for performance tracking and operational reporting
  • Develop and document data governance standards, definitions, and workflows
  • Partner with Technology, Finance, Benefits Administration, and Communications teams to align reporting with business needsLead the design, development, and implementation of advanced data models and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to visualize key metrics and trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to gather requirements, define project scope, and deliver impactful analytics solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Manage end-to-end data workflows including extraction, transformation (ETL), and loading processes utilizing tools such as Talend, Bash scripts, VBA, and Python to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop comprehensive database designs and optimize SQL queries within Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational databases to support scalable analytics solutions.
  • Conduct detailed business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, or revenue growth through insightful data interpretation.
  • Oversee project management activities related to analytics initiatives while adhering to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices for quality assurance and timely delivery.
  • Maintain documentation using Visio or similar tools for system architecture, data flows, and process workflows; ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends in analytics, linked data integration, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance analytical capabilities.

<Qualifications>

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role with a strong focus on business analysis and analytics projects.
  • Expertise in SQL programming within Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle environments; familiarity with database design principles.
  • Proficiency in visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker for creating compelling dashboards and reports.
  • Strong programming skills in R and Python for statistical analysis and automation; experience with ETL processes using Talend or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies combined with project management skills to lead analytics projects from inception through deployment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies for collaborative project execution; ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with linked data concepts and integrating diverse datasets for comprehensive analysis.
  • Excellent analysis skills coupled with effective communication abilities to translate complex data into clear insights for stakeholders.
  • Additional skills such as VBA scripting, Bash (Unix shell), database design expertise, Visio documentation proficiency are highly desirable. Pay: $79,559.86 - $100,000.00 per year
