Role summary

EOG Resources is seeking a Data Engineer I to implement business application services and integrations. This role involves developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting REST APIs, SQL, and PL/SQL codebases across development, staging, and production environments within the oil and gas E&P cycle. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python and SQL, understand CI/CD architectures like Jenkins, and possess knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and messaging (RabbitMQ) technologies. A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is required.

Data Engineer I is responsible for implementing business applications services and integrations projects. These projects will involve developing, maintaining and troubleshooting Rest APIs, SQL and Pl/Sql code bases in development, staging and production environments specific to oil and gas E&P cycle.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, engineering or other equivalent technical degree.
  • Should be proficient in Python. Should know SQL or other data query languages.
  • Ability to understand and deploy existing CI/CD architectures like Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of noSQL databases like Elasticsearch, MongoDB a plus.
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and messaging (RabbitMQ) knowledge preferred.

Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
